ARTIST PROFILE

Keith McIntyre, born 1959

Keith McIntyre RSA is a visual artist born in Edinburgh in 1959. He is based in the Outer Hebrides. He is an artist with a passion for dramatic performances. In 1982, he received his degree from Dundee College of Art. At the Hospitalfield, Arbroath-based Patrick Allan-Fraser School of Art, he completed a masters year. He attended the Laurence Barker Paper Workshop in Barcelona in 1983 to study papermaking. Drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, performance, and other media are all used in McIntyre's practice, which frequently combines and synthesises them with theatre, cinema, musical collaboration, dance, and installation.
