Study for Table Laying, Late Morning

Caroline Walker

DESCRIPTION

This painting displays Walker's fascination with light as well as the documentation of her mother at work which raises subtle questions about women’s roles. The theme also relates to lockdown when Walker returned imaginatively to the security of her childhood home in Fife.
